What’s New This Month

Happy New Year!

To start 2020 off right, we are now offering new subjects to meet the growing requests from our parents and students! Along with adding a seasoned pro to our English faculty, we have expanded our faculty to offer Cantonese and Mandarin language and culture classes, as well as natural science classes, such as biology, chemistry and physics. This is all because of you! Thus, we are excited to introduce some of our new teachers below. We have also published an article, "The Argument for the Electoral College", from one of our 10th graders, Anthony Du. For those studying the United States government, politicshumanities, or are simply interested in learning more about the Electoral College voting system, please comment! Thank you!

Martin, English Teacher

Martin is a veteran English teacher, who specializes in writing, editing and publishing. He trained Ryan with many new editing strategies when they worked together in publishing in the San Francisco Bay Area. For students who have to continuously revise their written assignments for Ryan, now you can actually thank Martin for that extra work!

Lucy, Chinese Language and Culture Teacher

Lucy is an all-star with teaching Cantonese and Mandarin at both high school and college levels. While Lucy is quite patient with students, she focuses on reading, writing, speaking and listening to help students elevate their precision with Chinese language studies. Lucy will also focus on training students for the Advanced Placement (AP) Chinese Language and Culture exam. To no surprise, this is why she is often fully booked!

Rafe, Natural Science Teacher

Rafe studied science in Canada and has taught general science for the past several years. He is also quite patient and teaches high school level biology, chemistry and physics. Being able to teach a diversity of natural science subjects gives students more options since we've received so many requests for science training.
